Cayman Islands' Temperature
You'll never have a problem with the weather and climate in the Cayman Islands, which is pleasant and warm the whole year-round. Despite its nearness to the equator at 19-20° North latitude, the islands remain temperate because of cooling trade winds that keep the temperature from rising to uncomfortable levels. The average high temperature lies between 80°F (26.7°C) and 88°F (31°C) and the average low temperature ranges from 72°F (22.2°C) to 80°F (26.7°C). December to mid-April is tourist season in the Cayman because the weather is perfectly warm. However, the heat of May is painful so you may want to think twice about visiting the Cayman Islands during this month.

Winter/Wet Season: If you want the least chance of rain, go to the Cayman Islands in March or April as these are the driest months of the year, with only occasional light rain showers. Accomodation rates are higher though and there are usually more people on the beach during these months. Winter in the Cayman Islands is dry, starting from mid-December and ending in mid-April. Humidity is low, with a day temperature averaging at 75°F (23.9°C) and a night temperature of 68°F (20°C).
Summer/Dry Season: If you want the beach all to yourself, visit the Cayman Islands during the Summer/Dry Season, also known as the "hurricane season." Don't worry though because despite the name, rain only pours for a couple of minutes during this time of the year which starts from May to November with an average temperature of 83°F (28.3°C). Accommodation rates are cheaper and only a very small number of people are present at the beaches during this period. The summer or dry season is also the best time for diving because the water is crystal-clear and water currents are weak.
- Hurricane Tip: If you are visiting the Cayman Islands during hurricane season, which starts officially on June 1 and ends on November 30, it's advisable to get weather updates from satellite forecasts. Big storms come in rarely but when they decide to stay, they can cause flooding. However, records show that this happens only every nine years. There's no reason to worry because in the Cayman Islands, there regular satellite forecasts will give you ample time to prepare.
